Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to join our APAC Network Operations team. You will be a member of the team based in Hong Kong, responsible for delivering and maintaining SWIFT's network infrastructure against agreed targets for availability while continuously deploying new features triggered by customer, security, scalability or technological demands.
You will find yourself in a challenging international work environment. Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will be to:
Under the supervision and guidance of a more senior network engineer, participate in the day-to-day systems and network administration/management activities;
Identify problems and participate in problem management resolution by collecting and tracking data and progress;
Identify and propose system modifications in order to reduce user problems on networks, systems, applications, or a combination thereof;
Update existing training packages for internal use and problem management procedures for existing products/services;
Participate in the review of problem situations and identification of opportunities for improvement to processes, procedures or tools;
Acquire technical and product knowledge to resolve problems.
Additional information
Participate in troubleshooting and monitoring of the network infrastructure and respond to exceptions by initiating the corrective actions to meet the highest availability targets;
Communicate with network providers to escalate and follow-up issues;
Make suggestions on improvements and participate in implementation of approved improvements throughout the network architecture.
Qualifications:
Do you have what it takes?
University degree in IT / Engineering or equivalent
2-4 years of experience in a similar position in a comparable technical environment
Excellent English communication skills
Excellent analytical and assessment skills
Professional knowledge and expertise
Cisco knowledge is a must
Juniper experience, basic UNIX and Scripting knowledge are an asset
CCNA, CCNP and Juniper certifications are an asset
