Sales Development Representative - EMEA

What You'll Do

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to lead our outbound lead generation efforts across the EMEA region. You will identify and qualify potential customers, setting up meetings for the sales team, and helping us grow our global footprint. You will report to the Manager.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Conduct prospecting through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and other channels to create qualified leads in the EMEA markets.
  • Qualify inbound leads based on predefined criteria for multiple Avalara Products.
  • Become proficient in convincing about Avalara products to prospects.
  • Set up high-quality meetings and demos for the sales team.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to refine outreach strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM.
  • Exceed weekly/monthly quota and Indicators related to calls, emails, and meetings booked.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regional market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Promote customer participation in events and webinars
  • Collaborate as a team member within the department and with our organization as a whole

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales or lead generation role in SaaS or tech.
  • Familiarity with EMEA business cultures, time zones, and communication nuances
  • Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects in English; additional languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish).
  • Experience speaking with International prospects.
  • Prior inside sales experience in SaaS firm.
  • Experience maintaining clean records of sales outreach and contacts in a CRM.
  • Experience using CRM software and sales engagement tools
  • Work flexible hours to accommodate time zones across EMEA.
  • Experience balancing multiple sales opportunities
