Job Purpose:
I this role you will be responsible of driving the digital transformation of Mexico organization following DSC global guidelines and acting as the leader for digitalization and automation. This includes Robotics, Automation, RPAs, Power Automate, Data Analytics, (Gen-) Artificial Intelligence, etc. applied in the Logistics industry.
Responsible for identifying, designing and implementing automation solutions to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhace our digital capabilties.
This role plays a vital role in transforming operations through technology and innovation. By driving digital initiatives, this manager helps to enhance efficiency, improve service quality, and position the organization for future growth in a competitive landscape.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic Development:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for innovation, digitalization, and automation within the logistics and supply chain functions.
- Identify trends and emerging technologies that can be leveraged to optimize supply chain processes.
- Project Leadership:
- Lead cross-functional teams in the design and execution of logistics and supply chain automation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver successful outcomes.
- Process Optimization:
- Analyze existing logistics and supply chain processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Implement automation solutions, such as robotics, AI, and IoT, to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, IT, and procurement, to understand challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Build relationships with external partners and technology vendors to explore collaboration opportunities.
- Change Management and Training:
- Lead change management initiatives to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and processes within the logistics and supply chain teams.
- Provide training and support to staff to ensure they are equipped to utilize new tools and systems effectively.
- Performance Measurement and Reporting:
- Establish KPIs to measure the impact of innovation and automation initiatives on supply chain performance.
- Analyze data and generate reports to communicate progress and results to senior management.
Who we are looking for:
- Talent with experience, knowledge in End to End robotic implementations.-Leadership skills for the integration of projects together with interdisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in conversational English (advanced English).
- Knowledge and experience in personnel management and in manufacturing and logistics management (internal and/or contractors).
- Financial knowledge of projects. Knowledge of robot engineering and experience with projects related to robotics.
- Experience in management of project scope, cost, schedules and vendors/subcontractors.
- Management experience in project execution, with strong, well-developed communication, influencing and coaching skills
- Strategic thinking with a focus on logistics and supply chain improvements.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.Strong knowledge of automation technologies, digital tools, and supply chain optimization strategies.
