Job Overview
The Implementation Project Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring successful client onboarding, operational outcomes, and overall satisfaction. This position requires expertise in billing and insurance collections, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver seamless implementations for hospital and physician-based entities.
Key Responsibilities
Client Implementation Leadership:
- Oversee the execution of client implementation projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and operational objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client engagements, providing guidance and support throughout the implementation process.
Billing and Collections Expertise:
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of billing, insurance collections, and regulations (government and non-government) to ensure compliance and best practices during implementation.
Project Planning and Governance:
- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, deliverables, and methodologies, to guide the implementation process.
- Utilize effective tools for project tracking and governance to ensure timely and accurate outcomes.
Problem-Solving and Adaptability:
- Address practical challenges by analyzing variables and creating solutions in situations with limited standardization.
- Interpret and apply instructions from various formats (written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule) to resolve project issues.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, address requirements, and align project deliverables with client objectives.
- Advocate for project needs and maintain effective communication channels to ensure stakeholder alignment.
Workflow Validation and Technical Guidance:
- Review and validate end-to-end workflows, ensuring readiness of file exchanges, production, technology, and regulatory functions before implementation.
- Provide technical guidance and clarify requirements for stakeholders as needed.
Collaborative Execution:
- Work with cross-functional teams, including Customer Experience, Finance, Operations, and Technology, to facilitate efficient implementation processes.
- Coordinate efforts with external client teams and third-party partners to support seamless integration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, a related field or an equivalent level of education and experience
- Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Agile Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.
Professional Experience Required
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management, client implementation, or a related role.
- Experience in technical and workflow implementation within the healthcare industry.
- Background working with third-party vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, or Smartsheet).
- Strong understanding of billing systems, healthcare claims workflows, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to interpret complex data and workflows to guide decision-making.
