Qualifications
Students must have completed at least one high school lab course plus be currently enrolled in a college lab course; ideally, the student shall have completed at least one college lab course
Students must be responsible and able to focus on the task at hand
Students must be comfortable working with laboratory glassware and general lab equipment
Ideally, the student should be a biology major or minor
Responsibilities
The Lab Assistant Student Worker provides administrative and clerical support to the associates of the Life & Physical Science and Biology Programs at Post University
The primary responsibility of the Lab Assistant is to assist with the daily operations of the Post University science labs which include, but is not limited to:
Assist Faculty in the setup and preparation of materials for biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science labs both in the laboratories and field
Clean up the laboratory, laboratory equipment, and glassware
Other duties may be assigned
This position will allow a student to work behind the scenes and better understand laboratory setup, equipment setup, equipment uses, and proper laboratory etiquette and procedures
Pay: Minimum Wage
This is a 2024-2025 academic year-round opportunity
