Ergon Refining in Vicksburg currently has an opening for an Information Systems Specialist. The Information Systems Specialist provides support for all areas involving end user business information systems and technology.

Responsibilities Include the Following:

• Keep safe work habits as the highest priority at all times
• Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace at all times
• Strive to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers, and associates
• Ensure that appropriate training needs are met
• Administer Microsoft Active Directory, including, users, groups, permissions, and access to network shares
• Administer Microsoft 365 platform for end user accounts
• Implement hardware, administer, and support telephone, computer and printer systems for Vicksburg companies
• Provide support for conference room IT equipment and connections
• Troubleshoot network components and related hardware
• Manage end user system imaging deployment
• Manage warranties on IT related equipment
• Co-op student coordinator for the Information Systems group
• Process work requests submitted through help desk environment
• Provide 24/7 technical support for all Ergon Vicksburg Companies
• Demonstrate purposeful growth through self-study to develop new skills and identify and execute continuous improvement projects. This could include learning scripting and other automation projects.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by Information Systems Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent with relevant job experience as determined by the Information Systems Supervisor, or 2 year associates degree in IT related field
• Prefer experience with Microsoft Windows environment administration
• Requires knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products
• Strong communication and organizational skills are also required
• Must have successfully completed and passed a Functional Job Capacity Evaluation (FCE).

The person selected must be self-motivated with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. A clean MVR is required.
