The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a trusted partner to VP and Director-level leaders to support business needs, drive HR initiatives, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives, and provide guidance. This role focuses on executing HR strategies, resolving operational HR challenges, and providing guidance on talent management, workforce optimization, organization design, culture and employee engagement. The HRBP plays a key role in operationalizing change and implementing HR programs focused on creating a positive employee experience.
Job Expectations:
Organization Design and Development
- Implement frameworks to enhance organizational effectiveness and business performance.
- Leads initiatives such as workforce planning, leadership development, and succession planning to drive long-term success.
- Partners with leadership to assess business needs and structure teams for maximum efficiency.
Talent Management
- Executes talent strategies that support recruitment, employee retention, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify workforce gaps and develop plans for future talent needs.
- Drives initiatives around leadership development, career progression, and performance management to cultivate a high-performing workforce.
Consulting
- Act as an advisor to business leaders by providing HR insights and recommendations aligned with company goals.
- Supports leadership in managing workforce challenges, including performance concerns, conflict resolution, and team dynamics.
- Guides managers in understanding HR policies, legal compliance, and best practices to create a fair and consistent work environment.
Culture & Engagement
- Implement programs that enhance workplace culture, employee experience, and organizational engagement.
- Leads initiatives that foster inclusion, diversity, and belonging, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Analyzes employee feedback and engagement survey results to drive continuous improvements in workplace satisfaction.
Proactive People Solutions
- Anticipates HR-related challenges and pro-actively develops solutions to improve workforce effectiveness.
- Uses data insights to address employee trends, retention risks, and organizational health metrics.
- Designs and deploys HR programs that support business growth, operational needs, and employee well-being.
- Works collaboratively with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver seamless HR support and ensure alignment across HR functions.
- Represents HR as a unified team, driving cross-functional partnerships and integrated people strategies.
- Helps bridge business needs with HR solutions, ensuring consistency and strategic impact across the organization.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, related field, or equivalent
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HRBP capacity
- Strong knowledge and understanding of HR best practices in organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent management and change management
- Solid understanding and experience with data to drive insights along with the ability to incorporate data into actions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while pro-actively keeping stakeholders involved and informed.
Preferred
- Master’s degree with 3+ years of HR Experience, preferably within an HRBP capacity
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Experience working in union environments
- Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP
- Coaching certification
