Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack developer (React/Python) to work in RBC’s Commercial, Core Banking and Payments Technology under SRE Platform Data and AI Engineering, SRE and Production Operations team. This role will be responsible for success of SRE Platform Data and AI Engineering team , particularly with GAIA SRE Platform development lab.

This role will include the development of automation capabilities, data engineering and GenAI solutions wrapped around a Full stack application/platform. In this opportunity, you will be the senior technical developers responsible in design and develop on SRE, Automation and GenAI solutions of GAIA lab.

Job Description

What will you do?

• Design, develop, and test front-end applications using React, Node.js, and other related technologies
• Develop back-end applications using Python, Fast API, and other related technologies
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and collaborate with other teams to resolve cross-functional issues
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply that knowledge to improve our software development practices
• Provide technical design and execution for the delivery of the CCBPT SRE, Automation and Data Engineering initiatives and Labs, including both front-end and backend.
• Adopt and integrate RBC GenAI practice

What do you need to succeed? Must-have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Equivalent Diploma in other Technical related disciplines
• 3+ years of experience programming in React, Python, and Ansible
• Strong React skills, including previous experience working with React Hooks
• Experience with UI Mockup tools such as Figma
• Strong Python skills (including Python 3.x and related frameworks like Fast API)
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Experience with automation using Ansible

Nice-to-have:

• Mainframe, ISPF, Zeke and JCL
• Amazon S3
• MongoDB
• Kafka (including Kafka brokers, topics, and consumer groups)
• Experience in Database design, create and fine-tune SQL
• GenAI skills
• Node.js (including Express.js, Koa.js, and Hapi)
