Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C++, Python,JavaScript, Java)
  • 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and other engineers to define, design, and implement accessibility and immersive reading features.
  • Work on Chrome browser features to improve the experience for users with disabilities, including those who rely on third-party assistive technology.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices.
  • Build and improve Chrome OS platform features for users with disabilities, including screen reading, braille support, magnification, color enhancement. Improve the web platform with tools and APIs to help developers make their web apps accessible to everyone.
