Job Summary:

As a Structural Simulation Engineer, you will focus on structural simulation and analysis for heavy machinery and mechanical systems. You will leverage your expertise in simulation tools and industry standards to validate structural performance, optimize designs and ensure compliance with rigorous engineering requirements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and a strong understanding of physical test and product application will be critical to success in this role. What You Will Do:

  • Performance structural simulation to support product development
  • Leverage simulation to investigate and address structural failure issues
  • Physical test plan creation and following up
  • Simulation – test correlation
  • Track on the development of structural simulation technologies, and continuous improvement on simulation accuracy and efficiency

Work Experience and Education requirement:

  • 2 years+ relevant work experience.
  • Requires a master’s degree or above in Mechanics, Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or equivalent fields.

What skills you will have:

Structural Simulation:

  • Strong skills on commercial simulation software usage, like Hyperworks, ABAQUS and Nastran etc.
  • Have the knowledge of mechanics (like Mechanics of Materials and Elastic Mechanics etc.), based on which simulation results can be explained theoretically.
  • Knowledge of Metal Material Science is preferred.
  • The knowledge on metal fatigue and the skills to carry out structural fatigue analysis will be the success to this position. Especially for welded structures, skills on both fatigue simulation procedure and standard (such as ASME, IIW etc) is required.
  • Write detailed technical reports and simulation documents to clearly communicate simulation results and recommendations

Physical Test Support

  • Work together with test team on test plan and follow up the test.
  • Test data analysis.
  • Perform correlation between simulation and test.

Programming and data processing

  • Master at least one programming language, such as Python, MATLAB, C++
  • Ability to write scripts and tools to improve simulation efficiency and automation

Additional Information:

The location for this position is Wuxi, Jiangsu

This position will require less than 10% travel.
