Vaco is seeking a highly qualified Assistant Property Manager for a direct hire role! This role is ideal for candidates with solid experience in commercial property management and an interest in career advancement within a structured, well-established organization.

Top 3 Must-Haves:

  1. Commercial Experience Required:
  2. At least 5 years in commercial property management or facilities management. Experience managing large, complex properties is essential. Strong problem-solving skills related to building operations are required.
  3. Career Growth Potential:
  4. While a Bachelor's degree is not required, it is strongly preferred for future advancement. The Property Manager role (targeted within 3–5 years) includes higher compensation and eligibility for an incentive bonus program.
  5. Team Fit:
  6. You’ll work under a detail-oriented AVP who values consistent communication. While you’ll handle tasks independently, this is a collaborative role that requires transparency and reliability.

Other Key Qualifications:

  • Professional Certifications Preferred: CPM (IREM), RPA, or FMA
  • Real Estate License Preferred: Active real estate salesperson or broker license
  • Stable work history: No more than four different employers in the past 10 years (internal transfers are okay)
  • Nicotine-free: Drug screening includes nicotine (occasional cigars may be acceptable)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Day-to-day oversight of building operations and tenant relations
  • Collaborate with vendors, engineers, and contractors
  • Support budget planning and financial reporting
  • Ensure high standards of building performance and compliance
  • Partner closely with the Property Manager and AVP on ongoing strategy and operational improvements

Work Environment:

  • 100% onsite at a Class A commercial tower in downtown Cincinnati
  • Parking is subsidized (employee contribution: $15/week)
  • Strong emphasis on tenant satisfaction, long-term planning, and operational excellence
  • Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
  • the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the referenced salary range of $97,000 – $125,000 reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
