FULL-TIME KENNEL ASSISTANT to Join Our Team!
The pet resort is a thriving, established boarding and grooming business. We pride ourselves on treating each boarding and grooming fur baby as our own, providing quality, compassionate care. Centrally located in Indian River Michigan so you can enjoy all that northern Michigan has to offer.
Location: 5578 S. Straits Hwy., Indian River, Michigan 49749
Shift Details: This is a full-time position (30+ hours/week) working a flexible schedule, including rotating weekends and evenings in addition to weekday shifts.
Pay Range: $15.00/ hour (based on experience)
What We Are Looking For:
We’re looking for a dependable and energetic team member to join our fast-paced, high-energy dog kennel. This role involves spending quality time with dogs both indoors and outdoors, while also taking care of cleaning responsibilities and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays, and should enjoy working in an active, animal-focused environment.

Job Summary: The Kennel Assistant provides daily care, feeding and exercise of boarding and hospitalized animals. The Kennel Assistant also pays close attention to animals’ general health signs such as signs of stress and changes in eating or elimination habits, promptly notifying technicians and veterinarians when a pet needs medical attention. The Kennel Assistant interacts with clients in person and by phone and e-mail. Proper record documentation and accurate completion of boarding forms and cage cards is critical. The Kennel Assistant must pay close attention to details, understand, and follow proper feeding and sanitation procedures and monitor boarding and hospitalized pets.
