Summary
Reporting to the CHMG Patient Refill Center Pharmacist Lead, will manage medication renewal requests and prior authorizations per CHMG policy and protocol as well other duties as assigned. This position will involve accessing and reviewing patient charts, navigating practice-specific protocols, authorizing medication renewals appropriately, and submitting prior authorization requests that are complete and accurate. This is an administrative position and does not involve direct patient contact. In addition, may be involved in other areas of Central Service support such as inputting of medical records/chart pre-loading as well as assisting in other clerical, environmental and organizational needs.
Education
Successful completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board CPhT Exam, OR accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. Alternately, completion of a Licensed Nursing Assistant program.*
Certification, Registration & Licensure
Any of the following credentials meet requirements for this position:
Certified Pharmacy Technician, CPhT
Registered Medical Assistant, RMA
Certified Medical Assistant, CMA
Experience
With completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board CPhT Exam, no experience is required. Licensed Nursing Assistant must have a minimum of one year of healthcare experience.
