Summary
Responsible for the coordination and implementation of physical plant upgrades and renovations, new and expanded facilities, and move/occupancy with an emphasis on superior client service through project planning, construction coordination, inspection, infection prevention and compliance with hospital standards and applicable codes. Provides project planning and facilitates design, construction, moves and necessary project notifications and communication. Works collaboratively with peers, consultants, contractors, affected departments, facility operations and end users to efficiently deliver a quality, cost effective project. All forms of communication assure that end users and affected parties are aware of project deliverables, activities, schedules, milestone dates and potential disruptions.
Education
Two years of formal training or education beyond the high school level (e.g., Associates Degree) or equivalent in a construction management, administration, or technical engineering program.
Certification, Registration & Licensure
Certification required to obtain: American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) certificate within 12 months of hire.
Licensure required: Valid New Hampshire Driver's license. Driving record from Department of Motor Vehicles, and proof of insurance coverage, which complies with organization and departmental Driving Policy.
Experience
Minimum five-years experience in management of construction and renovation projects, preferably in the healthcare setting, involving multiple professional disciplines. Working knowledge of budgets and schedules, communication skills for coordination with various stakeholders throughout the design, construction and move/occupancy process.
