Job Summary
The Instructional Designer will create effective and engaging learning experiences that help learners acquire new knowledge, skills, and attitudes through the application of instructional design principles and best practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Design instructional materials, assessments, and activities that align with the goals and objectives of the learning program and meet the needs of the target audience in accordance with established plans; Identify and advise on areas of improvement; Update materials to ensure information is up-to-date.
- Proficient in multimedia design, including graphic design, video production, and audio editing across a variety of programs; Familiar with e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline with ability use them to create engaging and effective e-learning content; Ensure accessibility for all learners
- Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that utilize a range of instructional design strategies, such as gamification, simulations, branching scenarios, and microlearning
- Fluent in a variety of learning technologies with a willingness to learn new systems; Utilize ticketing systems for communication, visibility, and documentation of all projects
- Utilize authoring tools and learning management systems to develop and deliver e-learning courses, virtual training, and other online learning experiences; Continuously research and evaluate new and emerging instructional design technologies, tools, and programs that can be used to enhance the learning experience
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that instructional materials are accurate, relevant, and aligned with the goals and objectives of the organization and meet the needs of learners
- Develop and deliver interpreter-specific training presented during workshops, seminars, and webinars
- Meet both long and short-term deadlines by maintaining accurate records and tools; provide reports as required
Qualifications
Minimum Education/Certifications:
- National Interpreter Certification if available in the language. RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf), CMI (Certified Medical Interpreter), CHI (Certified Healthcare Interpreter), ETOE (English to English).
- If National Interpreter Certification is not available in the language, a minimum of HUB-CMI or CoreCHI is required. ETOE™ preferred.
Preferred Education/Certifications:
- Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) a plus
Minimum Experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 2+ years of experience as a certified interpreter (in good standing).
- 2+ years of experience in the areas of remote interpreting, onsite or remote interpreter training.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 programs
- Associate's Degree plus 0-2 years of work experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 2-4 years of work experience
Preferred Experience
- Relevant work experience in training or adult education.
- Relevant work experience in project or change management.
- CEU workshop presenter.
Additional Experience
- Experience crafting and developing content for professional skills topics
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
- Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

Pay Rate
$24,800 - $32,850 Salary
Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
