App dynamics Synthetic monitoring - (CREQ223145)
We are looking for an experienced Synthetic Monitoring Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in AppDynamics and Splunk. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and managing synthetic monitoring solutions to ensure application availability, performance, and user experience across key digital services.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain synthetic monitoring scripts using AppDynamics Synthetic Monitoring or equivalent tools.
Configure proactive monitoring dashboards and alerts for application health and performance.
Leverage Splunk for log analysis, correlation, and root cause investigation.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to optimize monitoring strategies and incident detection.
Create real-time dashboards and alerts for key application performance metrics.
Develop runbooks and documentation for synthetic monitoring processes and escalation procedures.
Continuously optimize synthetic journeys to reflect real user behavior and business critical workflows.
Conduct health checks and gap analysis in the existing monitoring setup and provide recommendations.
Required Skills:
3 to 5 years of experience in application performance monitoring with AppDynamics.
Strong experience with Splunk for log monitoring, custom dashboards, and alerting.
Solid understanding of synthetic monitoring techniques and tools.
Experience with scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Selenium, etc.) for synthetic test automation.
Good knowledge of web technologies, APIs, and distributed systems.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating monitoring into DevOps workflows.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Nice to Have:
Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
