Job Description

The Learning Consultant and Business Partner, reporting to the Executive Director, will have responsibility for providing consulting and assistance to assigned business partners to meet employee and organizational learning and development needs. The Learning Consultant and Business Partner will work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues in planning, program design and development for major conferences and certificate programs to include the UT Leadership Institute. This position researches, designs, implements, and facilitates various learning programs and events to meet the learning needs of campuses, institutes, departments, and employees statewide.

Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Consult with assigned business partners to develop and deliver learning and development solutions, organizational development and performance management interventions. Work collaboratively with system learning community and EEOD colleagues to identify employee and/or departmental learning and development needs through needs analysis. Map plans and capabilities for meeting identified needs of business partners. Implement, monitor, and evaluate learning solutions, in partnership with

business units.

Design, develop, review curricula for revisions. Implement, and facilitate certificate learning programs such as Communications Certificate, Customer Relationships, all leadership development certificate programs, among others.

Provide necessary research, updates, and logistical coordination to help ensure the ongoing growth and success of major state-wide conferences such as Conference for Women's Leadership, the NEXT Conference, The BE ONE UT Conference, the BEST Man Forum, the Administrative Professionals Summit, and the UT Leadership Institute and Executive Leadership Institute.

Work collaboratively with the LMS Coordinator and eLearning Consultant to:

  • Conduct needs analysis by working with Subject Matter Experts to determine scope of work
  • Develop holistic learning pathways and continuous education that incorporate available eLearning content

Participate in professional development activities as assigned by the Executive Director. Keep abreast of current related issues and industry standards.

All other Human Resources and EOD related duties as assigned

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Adult Learning, Instructional Design or related field is required and two years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience..

Position requires the following:

  • Certifications/licenses (i.e. MBTI, DISC, CS, executive coaching, etc.)
  • Experience in designing, developing, and facilitating adult learning in a professional environment to include conference and event planning
  • Experience in learning needs assessment and evaluation experience
  • Experience consulting with constituents on learning solutions
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and their application
  • Effective writing, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of how to design and deliver learning courses and curricula
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft office
  • Needs analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's Degree in Human Resources, Adult Learning, Instructional Design or related field.

Preferred requirements:

  • Experience in providing learning opportunities to employees in a higher ed environment
  • Experience in designing and developing eLearning courses using eLearning software
  • Supervisory or program management experience
  • Needs analysis experience
  • Conference and large group learning design and management
  • Knowledge of Cornerstone, Articulate, Captivate or similar
  • Knowledge of eLearning development principles and technology
  • eLearning software and technology

Benefits and Compensation

Compensation for the position is budgeted for $45,000 to $55,000
