We are seeking a senior engineering leader and experienced professional to lead our navigation-location services team.
In this role, you will be responsible for Maps Navigation Services—including the navigation engine and platform that powers the top customer use case of Apple Maps—as well as for services for location technology serving all Apple devices. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Technical ownership and oversight of the Maps navigation/routing engine across all modalities. Technical ownership and oversight of location-based services for the Maps Geo Platform which provides positioning and location-based information to all Apple devices. Technical ownership of other critically-important platform services that provide Apple hardware, software and services with market-leading experiences. Employee development and mentorship. Successful managers at Apple balance both technical execution and the long-term vision for their team. They collaborate effectively with partner and product teams to define goals, set expectations, and shape roadmaps. As a leader, you will provide both technical and career mentorship, empowering your team to succeed. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for communicating technical complexities clearly to engineering partners, product management teams, and executives across Apple.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $252,400 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
