Systems Administrator & Cloud Engineer – (Perm) – Onsite – NY

Financial Services/Stock Exchange organization seeks a Systems Administrator and Cloud Engineer with 5+ years of experience in these industries for an onsite Perm role in NYC. This requires industry related systems experience like FIX Connectivity, Order Management Systems (OMS), and back-office systems. Expertise in Intelliclear, Broadridge, Bloomberg Trading Apps and Fis Phase 3, as well as accounting software like NetSuite are a plus. This also requires Cloud engineering expertise to include design, build, and maintenance of cloud-based systems like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Individual must have expertise with Fixed Protocol and MQ, or other trading platforms. Python Scripting is idyllic but will consider PowerShell. Additionally, expertise in MS 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, MS Entra ID and Group Policies, or variations of these are required, as are networking concepts like VPN, firewalls, VLANS, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP. Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in systems administration and cloud engineering within Broker-Dealer/Stocks and Bonds management organization with various industry related applications and system integrations from an infrastructural perspective.
• Cloud Engineering expertise to include design, build and maintenance of cloud systems like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Back office clearing systems like OMS, FIX, Intelliclear, FIS Phase 3, Broadridge and Bloomberg Trading Applications (to include market data feeds and sources).
• Accounting software to include either NetSuite or something similar.
• History of working with Fixed Protocol, Marqueta Stock Trading Platform (MQ), or other trading platforms.
• Exposure to line-of-business applications like trading, back-office, and financial services software.
• Performing scripting and process automation using Python.
• Strong infrastructural knowledge like MS 365 Administrator (Exchange Online, Teams, Security & Compliance Center), Windows Server, Active Directory, MS Entra ID/Group Policy.
• Expertise in networking concepts to include VPN, firewalls, VLANS, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
• Prior API integration and dataflow expertise between both infrastructural and business systems.
• MDM solutions is preferred but not required.
• Security tools, patch management, and IT compliance, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implementing cloud-based solutions using Azure or AWS for co-location infrastructure set-up, with a focus on best practices for backups, recovery times, and business continuity, while collaborating on best strategies and practices.
• Providing technical expertise for service expansion to include securities lending, self-clearing custody as well as investment banking, while ensuring smooth integration and scalability.
• Architecting, implementing and supporting cloud infrastructure for Trading/Backoffice clearing systems.
• Working with business teams to ensure optimization of OMS, FIX Gateways, APIS, and other back-office platforms.
• Managing and enhancing cloud service integrations with business applications.
• Ensuring SEC/FINRA regulatory compliance of Infrastructure and Data governance.
• Configuring and supporting email security firewalls, MDM, and VPNs.
• Developing Python (or Powershell) scripting for system monitoring and business workflows.
• Automating and improving processes while building out key infrastructural components.
• Performing Mobile Device Management (MDM), MS Intune to manage device security, while ensuring backup solutions are in place for mobile and PC devices.
• Performing basic networking including integration of new clients into network through VPN, with a focus on cloud-based networking.
• Performing security and compliance to maintain security best practices with an understanding of importance to the compliance side within specific financial regulatory environment.
• Providing occasional deskside support, while collaborating with MSPs on any issues arising.
