Overview of the role:

Join our Disruptive Innovation Team at Flutter as a Graduate Generative AI Engineer working on an innovative content creation and testing platform in partnership with our content teams. This immersive role is part of our "Innovation-as-a-Service" model, where you'll contribute to developing advanced AI solutions that transform how our organization creates, modifies, and optimizes visual content, with this 12-month contract spent in the Generative AI R&D Team, learning from those on the cutting-edge of applied AI implementation.

You'll be part of a multi-team squad developing sophisticated tools that contributes to content teams’ efficiency and optimize the use of Generative AI for content.

As part of this project, you'll help bridge the gap between creative design processes and data-driven optimization, building systems that both enhance creative flexibility and drive measurable business outcomes.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

What you’ll do:

AI System Development

• Design and develop content capabilities using pioneering Generative AI models, tools, and workflows
• Orchestrate AI models to build an enterprise-ready platform
• Collaborate with content designers to build intuitive interfaces
• Participate in testing and quality assurance to ensure reliable performance

Content Platform Integration

• Implement systems to efficiently process and transform visual assets
• Build intelligent workflows that optimize enterprise goals leveraging the state-of-the-art technology
• Develop automations focused on the enablement of content and UX stakeholders
• Contribute to the design of scalable architectures for handling diverse assets

Optimization & Testing Systems

• Help build frameworks for automated user testing and experimentation
• Create pipelines that connect content creation with performance measurement
• Layer machine intelligence throughout the platform to facilitate and ensure consistency across broader content and commercial strategy
• Design systems that learn from user interactions to improve content effectiveness

Research & Innovation

• Stay ahead of the latest advancements in Generative AI for image and content creation
• Experiment with emerging techniques for improving content personalization
• Contribute to the team's knowledge base and share insights across the organization
• Participate in rapid prototyping and concept validation
• Help evaluate new AI models and tools as they become available

What you’ll bring:

Essential Skills & Knowledge

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related technical field
• Programming proficiency with experience in Python and common development tools
• Understanding of AI concepts and how they apply to real-world applications
• Knowledge of the multi-modal Generative AI space and a passion for the world of content creation and delivery
• Familiarity with Generative AI APIs and image/video creation tools, modern software development practices, and version control
• Solid problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Desirable Skills & Knowledge

• Experience with products or systems that leverage image generation models or other Generative AI technologies
• Understanding of image processing techniques and content management systems
• Familiarity with A/B testing, multi-arm bandit algorithms, or other optimization approaches
• Knowledge of modern front-end development for building user interfaces
• Interest in visual design, branding, and digital content creation
• Awareness of data privacy principles and compliance requirements
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
