Job Summary

As the largest online distributor of restaurant supplies and equipment, WebstaurantStore hosts an expansive catalogue with over 430,000 products that are delivered through fast, dependable shipping. Unlike most in the e-commerce arena, almost all of our technological design, development, and systems management is done in-house, allowing us to create custom solutions within an ever-changing market.?This consistent, organic growth is why we’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior to Mid-level Software Engineer to join our team.

For Junior developers, this role is ideal for individuals who have gained foundational software development experience through internships and/or co-op programs. For Mid-level developers, this is an opportunity to continue growing your skillset in a real-world setting while contributing to exciting new projects and the enhancement of our existing marketplace platform.

Job Location

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other engineers and product stakeholders to design, develop, test, and deploy new features and services.
• Contribute to upcoming projects, including the development of order processing microservices.
• Assist in creating solutions for grouping and organization projects to better serve our customers.
• Work on improving order handling processes for quotes within the marketplace.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly check-in meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Engage in a friendly and supportive team environment, with opportunities for team-building activities and our annual in-person team meetup.

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Qualifications

Experience

• Demonstrated software development experience writing clean, maintainable code using C#, SQL, and React. (Required)
• Prior participation in code reviews and pair programming sessions.
• Ability to contribute to feature planning and architectural discussions.
• Familiarity with Redis and RabbitMQ (RMQ). (Preferred, not required)

Education

• Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or relevant equivalent industry experience.
