Sr Inspector, NDT- Level 2 - 17340

Description

Sr Inspector, NDT - Level 2 services, inspects aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure airworthiness by performing the following duties:

  • Setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment.
  • Conducting tests to ensure quality or detect defects using NDT methods.
  • Establishing techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection.
  • Interpreting and evaluating results as per applicable codes, standards, OEM and customer technical data.
  • Organizing and reporting the results.
  • Providing on-the-job training and guidance to trainees and Level I personnel.
  • Writing reports, documenting tests and results.
  • Assist level 3 NDT and QC Leadership in reviewing and updating departmental NDT policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by leadership.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB:

  • Level II certification for applicable NDT disciplines.
  • The ability to correctly use types of applicable NDT equipment that pertain to level II NDT skill set.
  • 3-4 years experience in aircraft NDT.
  • Familiar with aircraft manufacturers technical documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret ADs, S/Bs, SRMs, industry NDT specifications and other work instructions.
  • Familiar with regulatory requirements of FAR 145 repair station.
  • FAA A&P License preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $26.75 to $33.19 hourly. This range reflects the base pay for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location.
