The developer(Solutions testing) role at Ericsson is a multifaceted position encompassing a broad range of responsibilities, from requirement analysis and system design, through to product documentation and PLM support. What Will You Do?
Play a vital role within the greater Ericsson Enterprise Security and Wireless team.
You will be required to build and test network topologies, configure network equipment, connected clients and software services, understand the end-to-end packet flows.
You will need to occasionally write scripts and help in automation, equipped with the knowledge and experience in the Networking, Wi-Fi and cellular space.
You will collaborate with marketing, support, and/or engineering groups to develop and test our solutions.
You will contribute towards expanding our labs, performing solutions tests and work on cross platform system integration projects.
Your primary responsibility would be to understand features and solutions, drafting test plans, reviewing them, executing them and raising issues.
You will be required to work from the Bangalore office/lab space at least 3 days a week.
The skills you bring:
At least 7-10 years of technical experience in networking using Cisco and other major OEMs, Cisco CCNA or CCNP strongly desired.
Experience with Spirent, Ixia test equipment and basic Linux experience is helpful.
Experience working with Python and other languages to build automated tests and reports.
Must be able to demonstrate confidence in networking architecture, engineering and security discussions.
Aptitude for understanding in-depth technical situations, related business challenges and be able to communicate strategies for effective solutions.
Ability to distill complex technical concepts into understandable language for cross functional teammates.
Fair understanding of wired and wireless networking, cellular and cloud management platforms.
Experienced in physical hardware/lab design and setup.
Should understand how to build racks, add/remove networking and test equipment and associated cabling as needed.
Switching, Routing, Networking knowledge, Programming(basic level) - Bash, Python - Must have.
Cloud technologies - AWS/Azure, DevOps tools - JIRA/Confluence/GitLab etc, Wireless technologies – Wi-Fi, LTE/5G- Good to have.
Virtualization, Hypervisors/Proxmox/ESXI - Must have.
