Position Overview

As part of Ralph Lauren’s Next Generation Transformation (NGT) initiative, we are replacing our core operating systems (SAP, Island Pacific, and Microsoft D365) with a unified Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. This transformation will standardize business operations across Planning, Sourcing and Buying, Retail and Wholesale, Logistics and Distribution, and Finance.

The ERP+ Application Development Lead will be responsible for leading all aspects of application development within the ERP implementation. This role will ensure high-quality development processes, maintain SAP Clean Core principles, and drive seamless integration across the business functions

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end application development (WRICEF) within the ERP implementation.
• Ensure adherence to SAP Clean Core principles throughout the development lifecycle, including scoping, approach, development, testing, and deployment.
• Represent the Application Development perspective within the Design Authority, ensuring alignment with functional and business teams.
• Oversee and lead the SAP change control and transport management process, ensuring compliance and approval for all development objects.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, ERP vendors, and technology teams to drive innovation and efficiency in application development.
• Ensure smooth integration between SAP S4 Fashion/Retail and BTP Integration Suite.
• Develop and maintain best practices for code quality, security, and performance optimization.
• Provide technical leadership in resolving complex development challenges and ensuring scalability.
• Establish governance frameworks and quality assurance processes for application development activities.
• Partner with global teams to align development efforts with broader business transformation objectives.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Many years of SAP Application Development experience, with years in an application development leadership role.

Proven expertise in SAP S4 Fashion/Retail and BTP Integration Suite.

Hands-on experience leading application development efforts for large-scale ERP implementations.

Strong knowledge of SAP development methodologies, WRICEF, and transport management.

Expertise in SAP Clean Core principles and modern application development frameworks.

Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Experience working in a global environment with multi-region ERP rollouts.

Willingness to travel as required to support the global implementation.
