What your role and typical day might look like

As a Functional Consultant you are a critical part of our client project teams. Every day you’ll bring your curiosity and Salesforce best practice, business process and industry knowledge to bear in cross-functional teams, analysing requirements, designing innovative solutions and bringing them to life in Salesforce with high quality build and deployments. You’ll collaborate and communicate with our team and our clients’ team members to bring clarity and to showcase your work.

Responsibilities include

• Work with your cross-functional client and Merkle team to contribute to requirements gathering, including workshop facilitation, process mapping and documentation
• Take ownership, with support from project leads, of design and build of Salesforce features.
• Collaborate with client team members to resolve issues, clarify needs and gather feedback on solutions.
• Support testing activity and complete quality documentation of solutions.
• Mentor, inspire, and motivate team members to produce high quality outcomes, ensure a high-quality output that meets or exceeds client expectations.
• Continuous development of your Salesforce knowledge through the attainment and maintenance of Salesforce certifications and related knowledge areas, including software delivery methodologies and best practices.
• Participation and contribution to internal learning initiatives and team building activities.

A bit about you

• 2+ years’ experience as a Functional Consultant with good foundational knowledge, delivering Salesforce solutions in at least one of the following areas: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud or Experience Cloud. Experience with CPQ and Marketing Cloud would be a bonus but not mandatory.
• Relevant Salesforce certifications and tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar area of study.
• Business analysis and critical thinking skills to diagnose problems with users, create solutions and documentation.
• Experience working in Agile SDLC environments. Knowledge/experience in DevOps, ITIL, ITSM and CI/CD pipelines will be highly beneficial but not mandatory.
