FP&A Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC (with up to 25% travel)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FP&A leader to help build our corporate FP&A function from the ground up. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role will centralize the finance function at our HQ in Charlotte, consolidating efforts from our three different sites. This position requires a strong communicator capable of handling a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • FP&A Leadership:
    • Help build and centralize the corporate FP&A function, consolidating finance efforts from three different sites.
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
    • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
    • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Collaborate with site controllers and finance team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives, providing financial insights and recommendations.
    • Assist in the preparation of long-term financial plans and capital expenditure analyses.
    • Participate in the development of business cases for new projects and investments.
  • Team Building & Management:
    • Oversee and mentor finance team members at three different sites, centralizing their reporting to HQ.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or aerospace (public company experience is a plus but not required).
  • 5-10 years of FP&A experience, including heavy financial modeling.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to handle a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Experience as a Senior Financial Analyst or similar role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or MBA is a plus).
