The IT System Administrator – Field Support is responsible for support of IT infrastructure and security for multiple corporate and property management sites throughout the eastern US. Key tasks include building automation support, ISP circuit procurement, hardware and infrastructure installations, and general network maintenance. The IT System Administrator – Field Support will be part of the Service Desk team which provides technical support to a medium-sized Enterprise ensuring PC/laptop, printers and peripherals are properly maintained and serviced.

Essential Functions

  • Act as primary point of contact for east coast corporate and field offices
  • Manage remote office technology stack DHCP administration, printer support, ISP support, remote access, phone system support, Carbon Lighthouse Support
  • Deploy and administer firewalls to secure building automation systems
  • Partner with the Infrastructure team to manage and maintain local data center systems supporting field offices
  • Monitor and respond to system alerts on circuit status, along with tickets from ISP for outages/changes/restoration of services
  • Manage vendors related to ISP circuits, telephone installation and repair
  • Assist users with solving technical issues, software installation and support
  • Analyze and diagnose user computer problems
  • Set up or repair computer equipment or related devices
  • Train users to work with new computer hardware and software
  • Mentor junior team members and act as a technical escalation point
  • Provide on-call rotation coverage as part of Service Desk team
  • Assist with telecom billing
  • Travel as required (estimated 20-30% of time)
    • Role will be based out of Philadelphia or New York office, with once monthly travel to the alternate location
    • Expected travel to Baltimore office quarterly
    • Other travel as needed (other field sites, Chicago and Louisville corporate offices)

Requirements

  • Experience 5-7 years of experience in general IT systems support, including 2 years supporting multiple remote offices.
  • Education Bachelor’s Degree required. Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Science degree strongly desired.
  • Special Qualifications Experience with firewalls, Building Automation Systems, and internet service providers is desirable. Experience with Nutanix operating systems is desirable
