Become a member of an exciting speech-language pathology program! Will perform diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients seeking treatment for a communication disorder. Provide services to children and their families who are deaf or hard of hearing and be part of the cochlear implant team. Supervise graduate student clinicians in a clinical setting; other duties as assigned.

There are two (2) openings available for this position.

Minimum Education and Experience

Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology. Holds a current Speech Language Pathology license in the state of Texas or can obtain by the date of hire.

In addition to the required education, three years of experience providing clinical speech-language services to children is desirable. Experience in delivering listening and spoken language (LSL) services to children who are deaf or hard of hearing is especially valued. The ability to supervise graduate student clinicians and bilingual proficiency in both Spanish and English are considered strong assets. Candidates holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and a Listening and Spoken Language Specialty Certification through the AG Bell Academy are encouraged to apply.

Administer state-of-the-art communication diagnostic measures; integrate & interpret findings; provide information, training & recommendations to family, physicians, educators & other professionals; develop & provide individualized intervention or small-group intervention for toddlers, preschool and school-age children as assigned; supervise graduate student clinicians in training
