Jacobs is currently seeking a GBS GL Accounting Manager to work in a dynamic, challenging environment who will cultivate and deliver excellence in Jacobs’ Corporate Accounting Group. We’re looking for a team player with the desire to be an active, long-term contributor in the growth of the accounting teams and organization overall.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review schedules, journal entries, account reconciliations and fluxes related to legal fees and settlements
  • Attend and participate in legal review meetings.
  • Responsible for meeting minutes to distribute to group, following up on action items and status updates of legal matters
  • Work with sensitive and confidential data
  • Review and approve journal entries for the company’s LPP/LTIP and cash incentives, including adjustments related to annual incentive payouts.
  • Oversee account reconciliations and variance analyses for stock-based compensation transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Review and validate ESPP and share repurchase schedules.
  • Assess and approve account reconciliations and variance analyses associated with deferred compensation transactions.
  • Support SOC1 testing for stock-based comp and deferred compensation.
  • Assist in conducting SOX testing for stock-based and deferred compensation.
  • Assist in reviewing 10-K/10-Q disclosures and footnotes related to stock-based and deferred compensation.
  • Support the review of compensation tables in the Proxy statement.
  • Opportunities to identify and drive process improvements will both leverage and enhance your skill set.
  • Experience and ability to guide and review the work process of accounting for legal fees and settlements

This role allows you to interact with other departments and increase your business acumen. Your accounting knowledge contributes to the success of the company and ensures all duties performed and reviewed are in compliance with US GAAP, Company policies and procedures, SEC reporting requirements, and the Sarbanes-Oxley act.

As a GBS Accounting Manager, you’ll regularly and successfully engage in:

  • Participating in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for global accounting activities and continuous improvement process including automation and acceleration
  • Reading, understanding, following, and testing the applicable process narratives pertaining to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements and technical accounting
  • Providing support as needed to external auditors
  • Preparing ad hoc reports and analyses

Here's what you'll need

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Active CPA license or equivalent (ACCA, CIMA)
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, of which 2+ years of relevant experience in a public accounting firm or publicly traded company
  • Professional experience using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups for large volumes of data
  • Understanding of consolidations, international accounting and reporting issues
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and controls

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Cross-functional collaboration and communication
  • Experience with a large ERP system, preferably Oracle
  • Experience using consolidation tools for analysis of actuals, forecast and budget
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and process improvement skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and external auditors

  • Hybrid (6 days/month from our Krakow office) or stationary working model - depending on your preferences
  • Flexible working hours (we start between 7:30-10:00)
