The Position: The Demand Planning Analyst supports the development of timely and reliable product forecasts in an omnichannel environment. This role focuses on the creation, maintenance, and improvement of product forecasts while contributing to process improvements in forecasting and demand planning. The individual in this role will gather demand intelligence from various sources and collaborate cross-functionally to support S&OP processes.

The Location: Hybrid combining working from home, and onsite in White River Junction VT, roughly 1 day per week. Ideal candidates will be located within a 2-hour drive of our offices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains statistical product forecasts by item and location for assigned sales channels, categories, and customers.
- Collects and validates historical demand data, promotion events, and impactful pricing information including the company data warehouse, syndicated data and retailer POS data.

- Contributes to the monthly planning cycle and S&OP meetings by preparing and presenting forecast data and insights.
- Prepares and evaluates demand forecast accuracy and performs root cause analyses for variances.
- Supports the creation of ad-hoc reports and analyses related to product demand and alternative scenarios.
- Assists in gathering information on product lifecycle changes and collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Retail and Supply Chain to ensure accurate forecasts for new product launches, promotions, and discontinuations.
- Propose and support implementation of process improvements for demand planning systems and workflows.
- Engages in knowledge-sharing activities to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
- Supports the development of reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), including forecast accuracy and demand variability.
Experience and Education
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in demand planning, forecasting, or data analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft O365, particularly Excel. Experience with pivot tables, lookups, and manipulating large data sets across different sources.
- Experience in business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau. Familiarity with forecasting systems or tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and draw insights from data.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in an omnichannel or consumer goods environment is preferred but not required.
