Amazon Payments Services build systems that process payments at an unprecedented scale, with accuracy, speed, and mission-critical availability. We process millions of transactions every day worldwide across various payment methods. Over 100 million customers and merchants send hundreds of billions of dollars moving at light-speed through our systems annually.

We are looking for a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated senior leader to lead our application security improvement initiatives across Amazon Payments. This includes programs to uncover security risks in existing systems and proactive security programs to enable our engineering team to release software that is secure by default. You will bring thought leadership, innovate and solve security challenges at a massive scale. A successful candidate will have strong expertise in web services security coupled with strong program management skills, and the ability to work within a fast-paced startup culture in a large company that has broad business impact.

A successful candidate needs to have excellent communication skills to share your knowledge with a diverse audience, from developers to senior leadership. You will leverage your subject matter expertise to partner with other senior leaders in Amazon and AWS Information Security to drive strategy for application security improvements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 7+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
