Position Summary

The Manager, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) leads the enterprise-wide demand and supply planning process, aligning forecasts with production and inventory strategies to ensure consistent product availability. This role drives integration across sales, supply chain, and manufacturing, optimizing resources to meet patient demand while minimizing cost and waste. Through strategic leadership and disciplined planning, this position plays a vital role in advancing our mission to expand access to high-quality, affordable medication.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and continuously enhances the Sales and Operations Planning (S\&OP) process to drive cross-functional alignment ensuring synchronized decision-making and optimal resource utilization in support of enterprise goals.
  • Leads the enterprise-wide S&OP process, aligning forecasts, production plans, and material availability through artificial intelligence (AI)-driven modeling and performance insights.
  • Facilitates cross-functional meetings involving Sales, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, and Distribution to ensure alignment on forecasts, capacity, and inventory strategies.
  • Leads demand forecasting using historical data, market trends, and sales inputs, translating forecasts into actionable supply plans that align with production capacity and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and evaluates “what-if” scenarios to anticipate demand surges, supply disruptions, or market changes, utilizing ERP and advanced planning tools to support contingency planning and data-driven decision-making.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to drive alignment across departments and lead cross-functional planning initiatives.
  • Proficiency in S&OP, Materials Requirements Planning systems, and enterprise resource planning platforms, with demonstrated experience leveraging AI in daily work to drive efficiency, solve problems, and enhance decision-making—adept at integrating AI-powered solutions into all workflows.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations, including planning, S&OP, and supply chain, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or in the life sciences required.
  • Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) certification preferred, including Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), and Lean Six Sigma certification.
