Position Overview:

The Product Owner, Manager will be responsible for developing and commercializing new products and line extensions for Insulet's Digital Customer Experience.

The successful leader will have experience leading digital product management for global connected products, with the ability to translate business goals into high-impact product initiatives. Informed by deep understanding of customer needs, competitive dynamics in the market, and technology constraints and opportunities, he/she/they will develop and lead the execution of a roadmap that positions Insulet for sustained market leadership. They’ll achieve this by cultivating empowered, high-impact teams, and guiding teams through the full product development lifecycle, providing strong cross-functional leadership. He/she/they will develop and own business cases for new product initiatives and work cross functionally to deliver market-beating products on-time and on-budget, to advance Insulet’s mission to improve the lives of people with diabetes.

Responsibilities

Cultivate deep understanding of customer needs, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities.

Lead teams through data-driven processes to test commercial viability and technical feasibility, and then translate learnings into business cases informed by clear roadmaps and global platform execution plans

Develop and articulate a clear vision for products and lead execution of the integrated roadmap to achieve enterprise and franchise level goals

Own full product lifecycle, guiding trade-offs and release plans for new features, launches in new global markets, in-market sustaining activities, and technical debt retirement

Define integrated release targets & scope, value proposition & delivery to drive growth, provide customers with cadence of new innovations, and maximize return on investment

Responsible for on-market product performance, including but not limited to market share, retention, product complaints, etc.

Accountable to build and deliver business cases

Lead execution and release of product initiatives with technology teams, medical, regulatory, manufacturing and other teams across Insulet to lead on-budget, on-time cross-functional execution to realize value and advance Insulet’s mission

Collaborate with Product Marketing Managers to shape integrated launch strategy for global products

Collaborate with other product managers to establish processes and best practices for Product Management and Product Owners at Insulet

Coordinate on architecture and scalability requirements and guide investment timing

Create bottom-up planning for annual & strategic plans

Coordinate medical & scientific input & review

Collaborate on franchise roadmap and priorities in relation to enterprise-wide strategies

Education and Experience

5+ yrs experience in a Product Management/Owner position

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Marketing, or Business preferred

Experience with medical device product management, with deep knowledge of regulatory & quality requirements globally, preferred

Experience developing and commercializing connected products/line extensions preferred

Experience leading end-to-end product management

Diabetes experience or knowledge a plus

Travel is estimated at <25% but will flex depending on business need.

NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements (requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least 1x/week; may work remotely other days). #LI-Hybrid

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $135,450.00 - $203,175.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
