POSITION SUMMARY

Valence Surface Technologies, a growing metal finishing company in the Aerospace & Defense industry, is looking for a Sales Analyst. The role will be responsible for evaluating and identifying trends in revenue and operating data derived from multiple large complex data sources including Power BI, SalesForce and a variety of ERP and financial reporting systems. This involves mining and organizing data and integrating information into visual formats and media which directly impacts decision making including pricing, investment, and cost initiatives. The role will also be an integral part of sales and business development, mergers and acquisitions and evaluation of new processing capability investments. In addition, the role includes data driven marketing campaign management, social media execution and SalesForce administration. A successful Sales Analyst will also be highly motivated, a self-starter and a great team player. High standards and attention to detail are a must in order to produce quality work. The ideal candidate would also have intellectual curiosity and want to further understand data trends. This role will work directly with the C-suite with a close alignment with the Sales and Business Development function as well as all operating site Commercial and Finance teams. The role is based in The Woodlands, TX.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Compile and analyze data within Power BI, Salesforce, Churn Tool and Traverse
  • Analyze pricing and other key financial data
  • Collaborate with sales and business development, FP&A and Corporate Development
  • Develop visual summaries of data & analysis for discussion and review
  • Maintain and manage SalesForce software and user base
  • Evaluate competitive data regularly
  • Gather and analyze data in order to understand problems and address them proactively
  • Present data and findings to the C-Suite

Desirable skills and requirements:

The ideal candidate has the following background and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, marketing or finance
  • Minimum three years of work experience analyzing and organizing robust data sets
  • Strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software
  • Advanced problem-solving and analysis skills
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • High level of organization and detail-orientation
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
  • Good attitude toward teamwork as well as the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent time management

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional business travel will be required (estimated at less than10 percent), though frequency of travel could fluctuate from period to period based on growth and acquisition initiatives

Work Environment

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may also be in a manufacturing plant environment in which Personal Protective Equipment must be work. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Qualifications

Education

Required

Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field.

Bachelors or better in Marketing or related field.
