$25-$32/hr plus $830 per diem per week

Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

As a scraper operator, you will be responsible for cutting to grade by driving across the earth, scraping it into the holding bowl for removal or relocation. You will work in the cut, managing fill to even out and level the terrain for the Finish Dozer hands to fine grade to completion. The workday runs from 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday, with possible Saturday work depending on workload and weather delays. Hours may extend to 14-hour days if needed. You will also be accountable for pre-inspection and end-of-day inspection of machinery, reporting any concerns to management.

Responsibilities

• Operate MTS 3630 Wheeled or Track Scrapers, MTS 745 with pan CAT 627 or CAT 637 for rough grading work.
• Conduct pre-inspection and end-of-day inspection of machinery and report concerns to management.
• Manage fill and level terrain for Finish Dozer hands to fine grade.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and adhere to the site code of conduct.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience operating scrapers on a commercial job site involving mass grading.
• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, particularly scrapers.
• Understanding of commercial and civil construction, grading, and earthmoving processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to submit to Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks.
• Capability to be insured to operate company vehicles, allowing travel to various job sites.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
