Amazon Books is seeking a Books Risk Management (BRM) Risk Prevention Program Manager to lead our most complex root cause investigations and translate findings into strategic improvements across key program areas. This role owns root cause investigation, corrective action definition, and drives the roadmap for a strategic risk problem space. You'll tackle systemic issues affecting authors, publishers, and readers, implementing changes that prevent these problems from recurring through cross-organizational partnerships.
Working directly with business leaders and product teams, you'll lead investigations into critical issues and identify systemic patterns. Through these insights, you'll drive comprehensive improvements across the organization - changes that can influence everything from product development to operational excellence. When you succeed, problems that once seemed inevitable become impossible to repeat.
BRM Risk Prevention Managers work autonomously to manage multiple, large-scale issues effectively. Success in this role demands to persuade leaders and stakeholders, using both data and anecdotes to build compelling cases for addressing our most persistent and critical risks. The environment is fast-paced and challenging, with shifting priorities that require quick adaptation and sound judgment.
