Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire but must be obtainable within a reasonable period of time as determined by program requirements. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
As a Sr Deputy Program Manager Engineering (DPME) for the Torpedo Systems Group, you work closely with the Senior Engineering Leadership, Chief Engineers and Business Area Managers to plan, authorize, and drive execution of the engineering tasks to completion (including providing strong leadership to ensure all events occur as planned). You will be the face of program engineering teams to stakeholders and will work closely with Program Management to ensure contract obligations are met.
Preferred skills or experiences for a successful candidate:
- Oversee program technical performance for all engineering efforts to ensure project requirements are validated, integrated, tested, and verified, resulting in high quality deliverables that meet or exceed all technical and schedule requirements.
- Work with the Senior Engineering Manager and Director of Engineering to staff the project team with the appropriate engineering personnel.
- Develop and maintain engineering plans, risks, and opportunities, follow change management processes, and ensure all engineering processes adhere to GDMS standards.
- Conduct monthly engineering status reviews and provide material for monthly program reviews. Implement effective corrective actions as required.
- Manage the resolution of technical issues, communicate the resolution to all affected parties, and ensure that the resolution is carried out in all affected artifacts.
- Manage engineering resources (e.g., staff assignments, capital equipment, etc.), organizational interfaces, and engineering scope.
- Provide input to the leadership for potential areas of new business opportunities, internal research and development, or other ways to expand the business.

Salary Note
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
Combined Salary Range
USD $148,500.00 - USD $162,500.00 /Yr.
