We are on the look out for a DevOps Team Lead to join the Light and Wonder Spark team
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Oversee and optimize infrastructure costs, leveraging reserved instances, serverless solutions, and scalable databases to reduce expenses while maintaining performance.
- Develop and maintain scalable, resilient CI/CD pipelines using modern tools like GitLab CI/CD and ArgoCD.
- Architect, implement, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes across multiple environments (EU, LATAM, Canada, US).
- Design and monitor robust infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and security compliance.
- Implement proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and self-healing automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quarterly roadmaps, set OKRs, and achieve project milestones.
- Conduct bi-weekly sprints, roadmap planning, and retrospective sessions to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
- Drive platform security compliance based on CIS standards, ensuring a secure and robust infrastructure.
- Continuously improve DevOps practices, resolving technical debt to enhance platform reliability and stability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Tech-Lead DevOps Engineer or similar leadership role.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, including infrastructure scaling and cost optimization.
- Advanced skills in Kubernetes for container orchestration and Docker for containerization.
- Proficient in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitLab CI/CD or ArgoCD.
- Solid knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and automation scripting (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Exceptional problem-solving, troubleshooting, and team leadership skills.
- Experience improving security compliance and applying best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Certified Administrator, or Terraform Associate.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows and advanced CI/CD strategies.
- A track record of reducing infrastructure costs and enhancing system reliability
