The Transplant Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the evaluation of potential candidates for transplantation, adding patients to the transplant waiting list, preparing patients for transplantation and coordinating the care of patients after transplant. The coordinator is responsible for coordinating care across the healthcare continuum and with outside entities. This coordinator must assume a leadership role in facilitating different aspects of this multidisciplinary team. The coordination of education for the patients, families, and staff regarding the transplant process also falls under this position. As a Transplant team member, the coordinator participates in programs and research and development.
Education
Bachelors of Nursing. Current Alabama license is required.
