Job Duties:

20% Dissemination 1. Prepare and design sickle cell educational materials, including input from individuals with sickle cell disease (SCD), existing research and providers, for patients, community and other stakeholders, in both REAL Answers and SCDICII research projects 2. Prepare dissemination plans for research results from both projects, to include multiple interpersonal and mediated communication platforms (essential).

20% Manage daily and ongoing project duties, including 1. Review all materials created for the enrollment and consent process to ensure they are updated as needed for IRB compliance; 2. Plan and monitor recruitment efforts to meet study enrollment criteria and goals. 3. Create timely and accurate off-study forms and prepare and submit adverse event reports to IRB 4. Lead perparation of NHLBI reporting (e.g. RPPR, MAP, etc.) and submit for review to PI 4. Conduct fiscal responsibilities including, but not limited to, procurement (travel arrangements, room reservation, catering, acquisition of and delivery of patient and provider incentives for ED Project participation, printing and copying) and placing supply and equipment orders.5. Review workload, determine priorities and workflow for staff and student interns.

15% Participant recruitment--Monitor timelines to Recruit, screen and enroll patient participants, including 1. Contacting individuals to offer additional enrollment opportunities, as needed 2. Create plan for providing regular follow-up with participants to ensure they are completing follow-up surveys and implement plan 3. Create contact lists and methods for offering individuals with sickle cell disease the opportunity to participate in this National Registry study 3. Develop informed consent process and obtain participant consent and HIPAA release, either in person or via the REDCap system. 4. Develop and maintain all databases and logs to keep current 5. Participate in weekly multisite meetings, preparing reports detailing past week activities and presenting plans for upcoming week. 5. Provide guidance and training for use of the REDCap system to improve processes and create systems that allow efficient and safe data collection and storage.

15% Coordinate and lead monthly collaborative research group meetings, including identifying and bringing in researchers and providers from across campus, scheduling, creating agendas and minutes, and manage collaborative writing projects and publication of papers using SCDICII and REAL Answers data.

15% Direct and participate in community outreach activities, including organizing, scheduling, coordinating with other MUSC departments, scheduling volunteers, providing health screenings and counseling, creating information/education materials for use in community outreach.

10% Publications: Assist with reports, presentations, and manuscripts covering IR projects and other iSCENSC study findings, editing for intellectual content, grammar, and typos, and formatting according to authorship guidelines for submission to peer reviewed journals. (essential).

5% Other Duties as assigned.
