What You Will Do
This position will be filled at either the Program 1 or 2 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.
Program Manager 1 ($85,900 - $139,900)
The Program Manager will provide leadership and support project management and construction activities for an assigned portfolio of projects. They will work closely with Control Account Managers to determine resource needs and facilitate procurement activities. They will monitor construction progress and track materials needed that include stand-alone equipment (SAE), government furnished equipment (GFE), fabricated items, commercial off the shelf (COTS) items, and other resources needed for successful execution of Line-Item and MIE Projects. The Program Manager will participate in Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetings and be the intermediary between Project Management, Construction, Procurement, Procurement Engineering, Engineering, Quality, Logistics and other organizations to ensure materials are readily available when needed for execution.
Program Manager 2 ($104,100 - $172,200)
In addition to what is outlined above a higher level Program Manager should be able to work independently, exercise consistent sound judgment, and assume more complext work as well as training and mentoring responsibilities.

Education/Experience at lower level: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of directly related program management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Education/Experience at higher level: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of directly related program management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.

Work Schedule: This position may require 24/7 coverage, which could involve working a shift schedule. Employees maybe eligible for shift differential pay when assigned by their manager. Shift assignments are at the discretion of the manager.
Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. Clearance: Q(Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
HRP: This position is subject to the requirements of the DOE Human Reliability Program as specified in 10 Code of Federal Regulation, Part 712, §712.11. These requirements include on going drug and alcohol testing, as well as periodic medical and psychological evaluations.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
