Real Estate Coordinator
Administration and Planning | Planning Architecture and Real Estate Management
Assists either university or medical center clients with development of strategies to fulfill real estate needs; completes due diligence and financial analysis for potential transactions; negotiates and drafts real estate contracts in consultation with legal counsel, including documents such as leases, purchase agreements, sales agreements, easements, and licenses; markets and shows available university property to prospective lessees and purchasers; resolves landlord/tenant issues; works with university Lease Administrator(s) to provide support and information to other university groups; serves as liaison between the university and other government entities; and works on special projects as assigned by Director of Real Estate.
Minimum Education Required Bachelor's Level Degree
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and 2 years experience in real estate brokerage, real estate investment, facility management, business administration, and/or real estate law.
SKILLS REQUIRED: Broad familiarity with and experience in a wide array of real estate transactions; ability to negotiate for and achieve desired deal terms; ability to work independently; excellent communication skills; Microsoft Office software proficiency.
ADDITONAL SKILLS DESIRED: experience with property management; specialized training from industry-oriented providers such as International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), or Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA); accounting and/or development experience; security training; Real Estate License; legal training
