Description

The Security Officer for ParkX Management will serve the JW Marriott hotel. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for guests and staff. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as they arise, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a positive atmosphere by working collaboratively with your team, demonstrating reliability, agility, and integrity in all interactions. This role is focused on maintaining a secure and comfortable environment for everyone on the property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete hourly patrols of the property using the security system
  • Enforce access control for guests, tenants, and vendors
  • Ensure no property damage occurs and report any incidents promptly
  • Conduct routine foot patrols in and around the building
  • Issue banning notices to rule violators and maintain ban notice files
  • Maintain the appearance of plaza kiosks and enforce policies such as the "no dogs on the plaza" rule
  • Keep updated information available for guests and communicate rules of conduct as needed
  • Report any unknown work on the property to management
  • Notify appropriate parties immediately if illegal parking occurs on the plaza
  • Communicate the importance of keeping fire access areas clear to guests
  • Close loading dock doors as required
  • Report any concerns or incidents to management promptly

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • High School Diploma
  • Must be certified security officer by the state of Virginia
  • Minimum of at least 1 year experience in customer-service related field
  • Valid driver's license without major violations
  • Flexibility to work after hours and weekends, as needed
  • Outgoing personality with ability to relate to diverse group of people and build/maintain strong relationships
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Strong problem-solving, time management and communication skills
  • Must be highly credible and trustworthy, and operate with high degree of integrity
  • Must hold oneself and others accountable and strive for a high level of excellence
  • Must have a positive, can-do attitude and be able to fuel growth and innovation
