The Philadelphia office of Cozen O’Connor is currently seeking an experienced, results-oriented IT professional to lead a small development team.

Join the Cozen Development Operations organization as Lead .NET Developer, steering the creation and modernization of on-premises solutions built on .NET and SQL. You will architect and code resilient, multi-tier applications, optimize performance of existing services, and develop rigorous engineering disciplines such as test-driven development, clean architecture, and robust CI/CD pipelines. You will help lead the effort in translating complex business processes into applications for the company while you drive the technical vision that powers our core

Analyze, document, and maintain a deep understanding of SSIS packages, SSRS reports, .NET applications, and SQL Server stored procedures critical to daily business operations.

  • Ensure stable and reliable operation of all legacy codebases and data processes, promptly diagnosing and resolving production issues as they arise.
  • Lead the triage and response to client or stakeholder requests for new features, workflows, or data services, ensuring alignment with existing system architecture.
  • Design and implement enhancements or new components in .NET and SQL Server, integrating seamlessly with existing infrastructure.
  • Mentor and guide a small development team, promoting code quality, maintainability, and knowledge sharing through code reviews and documentation.
  • Work with a Data Team to perform performance tuning of T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and data integrations to ensure optimal system efficiency in applications.
  • Collaborate closely with business users to clarify technical constraints and deliver solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Track and manage technical debt within the system, proposing plans that balance risk and business value.
  • Contribute to and enhance internal standards for documentation, deployment procedures, and system monitoring to ensure long-term sustainability of the application environment.

  • Automation & Scripting (PowerShell, VBA)
  • API Development, Web-Based Applications using Blazor, Razor
  • Version Control (Git)
  • Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, Azure DevOps comfortable
  • Technical Documentation / Process Improvement / Technical Leadershi
  • 10+ years of work experience in .NET development
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, great customer service orientation
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Creative and critical thinker
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective professional relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and make progress in uncertain conditions

  • Hybrid schedule, onsite in our Philadelphia headquarters 3 days per week
