Job Duties

This position will involve implementation, running, testing and editing of computer analysis and simulation code in support of space physics research.

65% Assisting with space physics research, including implementing, testing, editing and running data analysis and simulation code, and producing output for research dissemination.

20% Communication, both verbal and written, with other space physics research personnel to facilitate the research efforts.

15% Documentation of efforts, implementation, and code usage related to the data analysis and simulation code worked on.

Other duties of a similar scope as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Need to have a BS/BA in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or other technical field. Need to have computer programming experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in physical data analysis and simulation programming preferred. Experience with MatLab, CUDA and IDL programming preferred.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $15.25 - $20 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
