We’re seeking a Senior Manager of AI Product Management to lead a team of AI product managers and subject matter experts to build and scale transformative, human-centered AI solutions for students, faculty, and staff. Every day you will make a difference in the lives of others by being responsible for the overall strategy, execution, coaching, and operational excellence of our AI product portfolio while developing the next generation of AI-savvy product managers.

You’ll serve as the bridge between cutting-edge AI research and practical, scalable educational products by working closely with engineering, UX, and executive leadership to build experiences that serve hundreds of thousands of users across the globe.

Essential Duties:

Drive Product and AI Strategy

  • Lead the end-to-end product strategy for EdPlus’s AI portfolio, aligning vision with measurable outcomes.
  • Build a roadmap of AI tools (e.g., scenario-based agents, GPTs, agentic chatbots) that personalize enrollment, learning while improving student success.
  • Challenge legacy systems and propose ethical, scalable AI solutions that anticipate needs before they’re voiced.
  • Ensure products adhere to responsible AI development principles: transparency, fairness, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Track AI industry trends and ensure products remain future-focused and technically feasible.

Develop and Lead a High-Performing Team

  • Mentor and coach AI product managers to grow their technical depth, strategic thinking, and user-centered mindset.
  • Cultivate a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and responsible risk-taking.
  • Build cross-functional partnerships with engineering, UX, and data science teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Translate complex AI concepts into accessible narratives for stakeholders and university leadership.
  • Communicate product performance and progress with clarity and confidence to internal and external partners.
  • Foster university-wide collaboration to scale impactful AI initiatives and expand adoption.

Operational Leadership

  • Define and track key product metrics, driving data-informed decision-making and rapid iteration.
  • Review and guide product team deliverables to ensure alignment with strategic goals and KPIs.
  • Optimize resource allocation and ensure the team is focused on high-impact, mission-aligned work.

Internal Enablement and AI Upskilling

  • Lead internal AI upskilling initiatives to empower EdPlus staff with essential AI fluency, tools, and mindsets needed for the evolving landscape.
  • Design and manage internal AI projects that streamline operations, enhance productivity, and model best practices in ethical AI use.
  • Partner with functional leaders across departments to identify high-impact opportunities for AI integration in internal workflows.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, ensuring AI readiness is embedded across the organization.

Assume or coordinate other duties or projects as assigned or directed.

NOTE: This is not a fully remote position. Must be able to reliably commute to Scottsdale AZ.

Desired Qualifications (See below for Minimum Qualifications):

  • Evidence of an advanced degree in AI, Product Management, Human-Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and launching AI-powered digital products.
  • Evidence of deep understanding of generative AI, LLMs, NLP, and responsible AI principles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional agile teams and complex product portfolios.
  • Evidence of strong communication skills with experience presenting to C-level executives and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with both agile and waterfall frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience scaling AI solutions in education or similarly complex, regulated industries.
  • Proven track record of building teams and cultures rooted in experimentation, inclusion, and impact.
  • Experience conducting or translating UX research into product decisions.

EdPlus at ASU supports flexible work options, ranging from alternate work schedules to hybrid remote work schedules, subject to approvals per ASU policy. (This is NOT a fully remote position.)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field including two (2) years managerial experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
