The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Supervisor shares on-call duties with the Plant Manager and ensures plant performance through inspections and troubleshooting. They plan and coordinate maintenance, manage inventory, and conduct audits. The role includes preparing GADS data, executing projects, and assisting with shift coverage.

They ensure plant production meets contracts and optimize resource use through communication with staff, customers, and suppliers. The coordinator manages schedules, housekeeping, and maintenance assignments. They also oversee safety compliance and operations training, leading a team of direct reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Shares on-call duty and provides coverage with the Plant Manager, ensuring continuous plant operations.
  • Performs inspections, water analysis, and troubleshooting to optimize plant performance and identify operational improvements.
  • Plans and coordinates plant maintenance activities to maximize plant availability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate plant documentation, ensuring proper historical records and reporting for operations and maintenance.
  • Manages supply chain and spare parts inventory, adjusting stock levels based on plant requirements and usage patterns.
  • Conducts supply chain and inventory audits, ensuring parts counts align with plant needs and budget.
  • Prepares and reports GADS data as required, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.
  • Participates in operator shift coverage at the discretion of the Plant Manager to ensure consistent operational staffing.
  • Formulates and executes plant projects assigned by the Plant Manager, ensuring timely and effective project completion.
  • Fosters teamwork and collaboration with others to maintain a positive work environment and achieve plant goals.
  • Coordinates plant production according to contracts and owner instructions, ensuring quality and timely deliveries.
  • Communicates effectively with customers, suppliers, maintenance personnel, and operators to optimize resource utilization and resolve issues.
  • Manages shift schedules, housekeeping assignments, maintenance work, and operational routines to ensure smooth plant operations.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a minimum of five years of experience in a power generation facility.
  • Competent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Other skills requirements include knowledge of computer systems and software, and the ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
  • Driving on company business is a requirement of this position and as such, the incumbent shall have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Participate in company respiratory program.
  • Working extended hours and varied shifts along with some weekends and holidays is required according to schedules, workload and plant conditions.
  • Performs repetitive and non-repetitive physical duties. Requiring lifts, pushing, pulling, stretching, bending, climbing, working in awkward positions, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
