As a Senior Backend Developer at Siemens Energy, your day will be filled with exciting challenges and rewarding accomplishments. You will craft, develop, and maintain exceptionally robust, scalable backend systems using C# and .NET Core. Your role involves crafting and optimizing RESTful APIs and microservices to serve both internal and external customers flawlessly. You will work with relational and NoSQL databases, such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, to craft data models, write efficient queries, and optimize database performance.

Collaboration will be essential as you work closely with frontend developers, product owners, and other collaborators to define system requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Your day will also include conducting code reviews, ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code, and troubleshooting and resolving issues related to system performance, scalability, and security.

Stay current on new trends in backend development and C# technologies.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Your expertise will be pivotal in advancing our mission for balanced energy. You will use your experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins to ensure seamless and successful implementation of backend services. Your knowledge of event-driven architecture and message brokers like RabbitMQ and Kafka will support us in building world-class solutions.

Your knowledge of frontend technologies like ReactJs, JavaScript, or TypeScript, along with testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit), will help you contribute to the comprehensive development process. Experience leading or mentoring dev teams is beneficial, and proficiency in Python and other backend technologies (Java, Node.js, etc.) will further improve your impact. Also, experience deploying and managing backend services in a Linux server environment is essential for maintaining our high standards.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional backend development experience with strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
• Strong experience with React
• Strong experience in crafting and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with cloud services and platforms, preferably Azure.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of standard methodologies in security for backend development, including encryption, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Proficient in using frameworks and libraries like Entity Framework, ASP.NET Core, and LINQ.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and participate in Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
