Southeast Toyota Distribution is looking for a Distribution Analyst to enhance our existing procedures. This person will skillfully manage distribution and allocation. Their work will support our main aim of delivering the right cars to our Dealers and their customers at the right place and time. The SET Distribution Analyst position provides the opportunity to work alongside a strong team of automobile distribution, logistics, vehicle processing, and product information experts.

The value of Southeast Toyota’s inventory for SET’s 177 dealerships exceeds $2 billion. The Analyst helps to manage these inventories by working with the SET Field Team, Dealership Management Teams, and the Vehicle Processing Centers, contributing to higher performance, turn rates, velocity, and dealer profitability. This position offers the ability to establish a foundational knowledge of the Southeast Toyota business with potential for growth within the department and beyond within the business. This position is a good fit for someone who has future aspirations to serve in a Field Sales Role.

Due to the responsibilities of this position, it is required to work a minimum of three (3) days a week in our beautiful Deerfield Beach Headquarters, with the potential of up to 25% Travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Review SET’s Dealers’ inventory and make recommendations on their inventory strategy.
  • Manage SET’s internal fleet of pool and company cars to mitigate losses caused by high mileage and model year changeover, and vehicle pools used for marketing and auto shows.
  • Produce and present analytics and reporting to support department objectives and strategic initiatives, including but not limited to dealer earnings and inventory analysis.
  • Collaborate with peers on the Distribution team and associates at various levels within the organization, including executive management.
  • Thrive in a dynamic and quick-to-change environment.
  • Multi-task and prioritize administrative tasks for the Distribution and Sales Planning departments.
  • Provide exceptional Dealer and Field support through email and phone.
  • Leverage tools at hand (Mainframe, Salesforce, PowerBI, and Tableau dashboards, etc.) to research inquiries and return clarifying details promptly.
  • Marketing Show Car management in collaboration with SET Marketing.
  • Support the distribution team during month-end sales close for: Allocation activities, Sold Order process, Associate Purchase order fulfillment, Dealer and Field support.
  • Maintain and organize the internal departmental SharePoint site, ensuring it has the latest policies, procedures, documents, and reference materials for our department.
  • Work extended hours, especially during month-end, and may need to travel up to 25% of time as needed to support business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proficient in creating and navigating reports in Microsoft Power BI or a related system (Tableau, Cognos Query, Report Studio, or similar Business Intelligence and Performance Management application).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and solve problems from data.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple job responsibilities with exemplary follow-up and communication.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team-oriented, dynamic environment with strict project deadlines while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Facilitate effective meetings and present to a variety of target audiences
  • Excellent negotiation, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to understand and document customer requirements.
  • Flexibility and capacity to learn new job functions and take on projects as requested
  • Understanding of the automotive/dealer industry.
  • Prior education/work experience in customer service, logistics, operations, or supply chain is preferred.
  • Mainframe/AS400 and SQL experience is preferred.
