CRM & Data Insights Lead, Commercial Effectiveness is a key partner to the Mallinckrodt sales and marketing team. He/she works to maximize performance and focus on the effectiveness of the customer-facing team by leading insights generation and innovative strategy development. This role is responsible for strategic planning, providing analytic and strategic support, optimizing field force deployment, and business planning.
In addition, this colleague will lead multiple strategic initiatives and priority projects in collaboration with the general manager and marketing organizations, as well as other global and local functions. The goal is to ensure effective support for the business and facilitate the exchange of critical information with relevant stakeholders.

Essential Functions
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The individual should possess a combination of strategic thinking, hands-on analytical expertise, project management skills with excellent communication and presentation abilities to help the organization achieve aggressive patient impact and revenue targets. He/she reports directly to the General Manager of Mallinckrodt Pharma KK and collaborate closely with directors of sales, marketing, medical, finance, IT, third party vendors and Commercial Effectiveness in US.
Key responsibilities include:
CRM Strategy & Execution:
- Develop CRM strategy and implement system with continuous improvement
- Oversee all aspects of the CRM platform to ensure an effective sales process and performance.
- Monitor relationships with existing customers and ensure the CRM system is up-to-date.
- Develop and implement marketing tactics to drive new customers to the business.
- Train and guide staff to use the CRM system effectively
Data management
- Establish and enforce data governance processes for managing data products and solutions.
- Assess and cleanse data quality within the master database and CRM system.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to claims data analysis and reporting
Dashboard:
- Analyze performance and develop dashboard to report activities and progress to sales and marketing. Identify opportunities and gaps in strategy/ tactical execution, develop and implement solutions.
- Translate business challenges into technical solutions and lead data integration efforts.
- Provide cross-functional analytical support for field operations and sales strategy
Partnership:
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, US commercial effectiveness, and IT to develop and enhance the CRM platform.
- Communicate with US IT and sources to meet Japan's commercial needs in planning and operations.
- Manage vendors effectively to optimize solutions
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management and life sciences.
Minimum Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills:
- BA/BS Degree required. MBA or other advanced professional degree preferred
- 5+ years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales/consulting experience with a strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
- 2+ years of hands-on CRM management and commercial analytics experience
- Excellent analytical skills, including strategic thinking, ability to frame problems and opportunities using supporting data, problem solving and measuring impact
- Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to lead change and influence without direct authority
- Ability to influence and establish good working relationships with senior executives
- Passion for innovation and excellence in achieving results
- Language capabilities of English at business level
Organizational Relationship/Scope:
- Report to the head of Commercial Effectiveness Japan
Working Conditions:
- This position is office based in Tokyo.
- This position allows for remote work on an occasional basis.
